180 Clubs
Our mission is to partner with middle school and high school teens with acceptance and encouragement. We desire to teach and model character as the foundation for creating healthy relationships and bright futures.
As an outreach of the Tri-Cities Pregnancy Network's Healthy Relationships Programs, the 180 Clubs are a safe place for young people to express their concerns, questions, dreams, and goals. Through this mentoring program teens are encouraged to abstain from unhealthy life choices with potential life-altering consequences, and to practice healthy choices in order to protect their goals for the future. This teen mentoring program utilizes the AWARE Program as a catalyst for stimulating healthy choices and bright futures.
We realize that there are many relevant and pressing issues that young people face today. Topics covered in AWARE include character, self-worth, self-respect, trust, gossip, same-sex friendships, opposite-sex friendships and relationships, drugs, alcohol, sex, and future goals. We want to help young women realize the decisions they make today will affect their future, either in positive or negative ways, and we offer practical and relevant advice on healthy life choices.
Both Girls' 180 Clubs and Guys' 180 Clubs are available for students. TCPN is priviledged to partner with local middle schools and high schools. To get a club started at your school, please contact:
Lindsay Asmus at 946-1190 or by e-mail.
